Race Entry Details
Entries for the inaugural Trans Caledonia go live on January 25th. The application process will be open for one week, from January 25th at 12:00 (midday) GMT until February 1st at 12:00 (midday) GMT. All the details on pricing, payment terms, and how to secure your spot can be found on the event's FAQ page.
Why an Application Form?
The organizers are implementing an application form to ensure fairness for riders traveling from all corners of the globe, regardless of time zones. This approach also gives potential participants ample time to consider their commitment, make family arrangements, and convince their friends to join the adventure. It's about more than just speed; it's about inclusivity.
But here's where it gets controversial... Some might argue that an application process, while fair, adds an extra layer of complexity to entering a race. What are your thoughts? Does it enhance the experience, or do you prefer a simpler, first-come, first-served system?
The Route: A Scottish Odyssey
The race kicks off in Aberdeenshire and the Royal Deeside, then heads west to the Scottish Highlands. The route then follows the River Tay south towards the majestic region of Perthshire. The final days will bounce between famous riding spots along the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders.
With over 35 stages, 250km of riding, and more descending than climbing, riders will experience the true essence of Scotland.
What's Included: Beyond the Race
Trans Caledonia is committed to supporting riders every step of the way. They're offering all racers access to two exclusive webinars to help with preparation.
