Stuck Stardust Racers Trains: Behind the Scenes with Crane Rescue (2026)

Stuck Stardust Racers Trains Seen Being Pulled by Crane in Aerial Photos

A thrilling ride takes an unexpected turn as high winds cause a rollercoaster to become stuck.

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct has shared captivating photos of the Epic Universe's Stardust Racers trains, which were recently caught in an unfortunate incident. The high winds that swept through the Orlando area on January 18 caused the trains to become stuck in a valley after the second launch spot. Fortunately, the trains were empty at the time, and team members were conducting tests without guests, aiming to reopen the attraction after the weather-induced closure.

The incident was caught on video by X user ElToroRyan, who captured the moment from the Hiccup's Wing Gliders queue. The ride has remained closed since, but bioreconstruct's aerial photos provide a unique perspective on the recovery efforts.

The photos reveal the intricate process of raising the trains out of the valley. Rigging is in place at the front of both trains to secure them in place, and a device is being attached for a crane to pull the trains up. The orange cabling attached to the front of each train is crucial in keeping them in position on the track.

From a higher angle, we can see a crane positioned outside the covered queue area, ready to assist in pulling the trains out of the valley. The duration of the recovery efforts and the reopening date for Stardust Racers remain unknown.
