But here's where it gets intriguing: a mysterious phenomenon is unfolding within the shrines of Sanctuary, infusing them with an extraordinary power. Activate any Shrine, including the enigmatic Nahantu, and unlock a 100% bonus experience (multiplicative) for a thrilling 2-minute adventure. And that's not all; you'll also gain enhanced powers and earn Ancestral Favor Reputation, a key currency in this event.
The Lunar New Year brings a celebration like no other. Travel to the vibrant Ked Bardu and explore the Lunar Night Market, your central hub for all things Lunar Awakening. Here, you can exchange your hard-earned Ancestral Favor Reputation for incredible rewards, including Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors caches and decorative Lunar Renewal-themed items.
Lunar Shrines are the heart of this event, pulsating with the auspicious powers of returning ancestral spirits. During Lunar Awakening, all Shrines transform into Lunar Shrines, granting a 100% experience bonus when activated. And to honor the Year of the Horse, these shrines have a brand-new, festive appearance!
Lunar Shrines function similarly to their typical counterparts but with a special twist. They've been augmented to provide an extra boost of power, making them even more exciting to encounter. Plus, their unique Map icon makes them easily recognizable from a distance.
But the real magic lies in the bonus effects these Lunar Shrines offer. Here's a glimpse:
- Artillery Shrine: Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb, adding an explosive element to your adventures.
- Blast Wave Shrine: Each explosion becomes a cluster bombardment, creating a powerful chain reaction.
- Channeling Shrine: Increased attack speed and a chance to reset cooldowns, keeping the action fast and furious.
- Conduit Shrine: Summon frequent, shocking strikes, dealing powerful damage with each strike.
- Greed Shrine: A chance to summon a Treasure Goblin, and while the Shrine is active, kills will continue to summon these goblin treasures.
- Lethal Shrine: A chance to instantly execute struck monsters, causing Fear in surrounding enemies (excluding Bosses and other Players).
- Protection Shrine: Reflect all incoming damage, with the amount reflected scaling based on your Level and Difficulty.
And this is the part most people miss: Miserly Spirits spawn immediately upon activating a Lunar Shrine, allowing you to make the most of these shrines' unique gameplay augmentation.
As you progress through the event, you'll conquer Reputation Levels and unlock an array of rewards. There are 10 Ancestral Favor Reputation Levels in total, offering prizes like the Resplendent Spark. Additionally, you can unlock 6 different Lunar-themed cosmetic rewards, including the highly anticipated Trag'Oul's Consort mount. This year, all Cosmetics are available to all players, regardless of previous-year rewards.
Once you've earned your Reputation Levels, continue your journey by collecting additional rewards in the form of Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors.
Elegant Garments and Mounts:
Lunar Awakening-themed garments will be available in Tejal's shop, allowing you to adorn your wanderer with elegant Armor Cosmetics. For example, the Sorcerer can don the Scholar of the Lonely Moon outfit, while your trusty steed can be decked out with the Dragon of the Lonely Moon mount armor bundle.
